Description
Stachys ‘Hummelo’, commonly known as betony, is a clump-forming perennial prized for its vibrant floral display and attractive foliage. In early to midsummer, it produces sturdy spikes of lavender-rose flowers that rise above a dense mound of dark green, textured leaves. Mature plants typically reach a height of 18 to 20 inches (46 to 51 cm) and spread about 18 inches (46 cm). ‘Hummelo’ thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soils. Hardy in USDA zones 4 through 8, this variety is deer and rabbit resistant, attracts pollinators, and is suitable for borders, mass plantings, or as a groundcover.
Sold well-rooted in a tall 9cm pot.
